Instrument Rating

This rating is added to a Private Pilot Helicopter License or Commercial Helicopter License and refers to qualifications that a pilot must have in order to fly under Instrument Flight Rules or (IFR). It is also a way to improve your skills as you continue to pursue a Commercial Helicopter Rating.

Prerequisite: Hold at least a current private pilot certificate, or be concurrently applying for a private pilot certificate, with a helicopter rating and be able to read, speak, write and understand the English language.
